Physical Therapist Assistant
If you enjoy helping others and are comfortable with people of all ages, you have the foundation necessary to successfully pursue an Associate of Science degree in Physical Therapist Assistant at Keiser University.
As a licensed physical therapist assistant, you will report to a licensed physical therapist and implement comprehensive treatment plans according to the therapist's plan of care.
This hands-on program will train you to assist in the management of conditions such as arthritis, amputation, cerebrovascular accident (stroke), spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, sport injuries, cerebral palsy, cardiac and pulmonary pathology and/or other pathologies.
Upon graduation and passing your national and state boards, you may find yourself working in rehabilitation centers, home health agencies, long-term care facilities, school systems, hospitals and clinics.
